Free admission offered in exchange for school supplies for the needy

Newark & Cincinnati, OH – Families are encouraged to help local children in need while spending their last fun-filled summer days at CoCo Key Water Resorts at Cherry Valley Lodge or Sheraton Cincinnati North.  Guests will enjoy free admission during the “Back to School Splash.”  CoCo Key Water Resort guests who bring a new and unused school supply on Monday, August 10, 2009 to Cherry Valley Lodge or Tuesday, August 11, 2009 to Sheraton Cincinnati North will receive one free waterpark admission pass for each supply donated. Each free pass will be valid for one of four, three-hour swim periods: 9 a.m. to noon, noon to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., or 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  From notebooks and Crayons to boxes of pencils and markers, the collected items will be donated to Newark City Schools and the Northwest School District for distribution to the community’s most needy students.

“Back to School Splash is a great way for kids to learn to help those less fortunate, while enjoying a great time with friends and family,” said CoCo Key Water Resort Marketing Director Beth Kelly. “We’re thrilled to help families give back to the community by offering them a visit to CoCo Key Water Resort.”

During each of these admission periods, a maximum of 600 passes will be given away.  In order to ensure guest safety and comfort, after the first 600 admissions, the water park will close its doors until the next listed admission time.  However, those who would like to stay through the entire day without exiting may purchase a $15 ticket, based on availability.  Guests wishing to take advantage of the free passes are encouraged to arrive early, due to the limited number of free passes.  A special “Back to School Splash,” room rate of just $99 will also be offered, based on availability.
