What are the Water Resort Rules & Regulations?

- ADVANCE RESERVATIONS required.

- All guest must purchase a valid wristband.

- Guests must adhere to lifeguard and CoCo Key staff instructions at ALL TIMES.

-Proper attire required when outside the water resort. Shoes, shirts & cover-ups please.

- Appropriate and clean swimwear required.

- NO cut-offs or swimwear with exposed metal zippers, buckles, rivets or loose strings.

- CoCo Key reserves the right to remove/refuse admittance to any person failing to comply with rules.

- Management reserves the right to change rules and regulations without notice.

- Lifeguards enforce rules and respond to aquatic emergencies.                      

- Parents/guardians are ultimately responsible for the safety and supervision of their children.

- Height rule: Must be 48" inches or taller to ride Gator Gush, Barracuda Blast & Pelican Plunge slides.

- Height and behavior rules are posted at each attraction for your safety.

- Lifejackets are available on a first-come basis and must remain within the water resort.

- Rafts, floatation devices, snorkels, and toys are prohibited.

- NO glass or breakable items allowed.

- NO outside food or beverage.

- NO pets allowed.

- Please shower BEFORE & AFTER using chlorinated attractions.

- CoCo Key Water Resort is an aquatic environment - be prepared to get wet!

Gator Gush & Shark Slam
Maximum operational load: 1 person, 300 pounds. Single riders only. Guests must be 48 inches tall.

Barracuda Blast & Pelican Plunge
Maximum operational load: 2 persons, 400 pounds. Guests must be 48 inches tall.

Parrot's Perch
Children under the age of 6 must be supervised by an adult. No running on or around the play structure.

Parrot's Perch Slides
Slides taller than 8 feet (qty. 3): Guests must be 40 inches tall. Slide less than 8 feet (qty. 1): Guests must be 36 inches tall.

Coconut Grove Adventure River
Children under 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult.

Dip-In Theater
Guests over 48 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult.

Dip-In Theater Slides
Maximum operational load: 1 person, 200 pounds. Single riders only. Guests must wait for the ride to be clear or for the lifeguard's signal. Guests must be under 48 inches tall.

Coral Reef Cavern Activity Pool
Only 1 person allowed on each floatable at a time. Basketballs must stay in Coral Reef Cavern. No excessive splashing, spitting, boisterous or rough play allowed.

Palm Grotto Spa
WARNING: No Lifeguard On Duty!
Kids 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult, no children under 5 years of age are allowed in the hot tub/spa. Guests are encouraged to observe reasonable time limits (10-15 minutes) in the spa. No food or beverages or breakable objects allowed in spa area. Do not use while under the influence of anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics, tranquilizers, or alcohol. Individuals suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high/low blood pressure, and expectant mothers should not use the spa. Showers are recommended by all participants before and after use.

Are there changing areas and locker facilities available at CoCo Key Water Resort?

Mens and womens changing facilities are complete with showers and security lockers. Security lockers are available for a day rental fee of $5.00.

Can guests bring their own outside food and drinks into CoCo Key Water Resort?

Because CoCo Key Water Resort is concerned about your safety, glass containers, coolers, ice chests as well as food and beverages of any kind are not permitted inside the park. For guest convenience a Pizza Hut Express, an A&W Snack Shop and the Wet Rooster Bar are located within the waterpark.

Can baby food be brought into the water resort?

Baby bottles and commercial baby food are welcome. Please be sure to put them in plastic bottles\containers to protect little feet!

Is the water chlorinated?

All attractions in the water park are chlorinated and filtered. Attractions are tested frequently throughout the day by trained and certified staff to verify that water quality is at the guidelines determined by state and local agencies.

What preparations are needed to use the waterpark?

Showers are recommended by ALL water resort participants before and after use. This will aid in keeping the resort environment as safe and clean as possible.

Are there any health restrictions relative to the waterpark attractions?

It is recommended that any persons with pre-existing medical conditions, women who are pregnant or those with a sensitivity to chlorine not utilize the water attractions. Each individual and/or guardian is encouraged to evaluate the ability to participate

Do non-swimmers pay to enter CoCo Key?

All guests entering CoCo Key (swimmers and spectators) are required to purchase and wear a water resort wristband.

Weather Policy

Weather Policy
CoCo Key Water Resorts takes the safety of our guests very seriously.  As a result we follow specific guidelines with regards to inclement weather.  During periods of inclement weather some or all attractions may cease operation temporarily.  This includes outdoor attractions as well as indoor attractions which are affected by lightning storms.  In the event that some or all attractions are temporarily shut down for inclement weather, CoCo Key will make every effort to re open attractions as soon as conditions permit safe operation.

Which days are the least crowded at CoCo Key?

Sunday, Monday and Thursday's are the least crowded.

What is the most affordable way to experience CoCo Key?

Overnight stays provide the greatest value. You receive a hotel accommodation and 2-days of access to the park. Specials can also be received by signing up for CoCo mail or check our website for internet deals!

Is there an exercise facility at the Sheraton Ferncroft?

Yes, the Atlantis Sports Club is available exclusively to HOTEL guests ONLY. Offering a cardio-room at no charge; swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, weight room and lockers for a fee of $5.00 per person, per day.  

Are all attractions open at all times? 

In order to provide the best experience for all our guests, there may be instances where we'll need to rotate attraction openings.  On Monday - Thursday, our lazy river will be opened 2 hours after the water park opens.  Therefore guests will not have lazy river access until 5pm on Monday through Thursday and 12pm on Friday.  There may be other instances when attractions will have to close and/or rotate temporarily however we will work our best to be sure all guests have an opportunity to experience all attractions during their stay with us. 

What age is a child required to have an adult chaperone?

Children 15 years or younger are required to have adult supervision. Teens 16 and older can enjoy CoCoKey unaccompanied by an adult. (Town of Middleton, MA)

Are towels provided in the resort?

Towels are ONLY provided to guests staying at the hotel.  Day pass guests must provide their own towels.  Overnight guests will receive their towels in their rooms upon check-in.  All resort towels must remain in the resort. 

What are check-in and check-out hours?

Check-in time is guaranteed any time after 4:00 p.m. Waterpark guests may use the waterpark and changing facilities beginning at 1:00 p.m. on their arrival day. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Strict compliance ensures arriving water resort guests timely access to clean accommodations. Departing water resort guests are welcome to make complete use of CoCo Key Water Resort and changing facilities until 3:00 p.m. on the day of their departure. However, guests must vacate their room by 11:00 a.m. on their scheduled departure date at which time the key card will expire.

Is there a dress code in the resort?

Inside the resort guests wishing to participate in swimming activities must be wearing a lined swim suit.  Resort attire is appropriate when inside Coco Key.  Outside of the resort, shirts, shoes, and shorts are required. This includes all lobby areas, arcade, gym and hotel common areas.

Is a traditional hot tub available?

Yes, we do have a spa inside the water resort that is open. You must at least be 16 years of age or older to use or be accompanied by an adult. 

Can CoCo Key Water Resort be reserved for parties without an overnight guest room?

CoCo Key Water Resort accepts reservations for birthday party packages without an overnight guest room on a space-available basis. Advanced reservations are required. Visit our Groups & Parties page for more information.
